shipment of live rock and coral?

I'm on vacation in Florida for a couple of weeks, and live coral rock and is much cheaper here than where I live ... and I need both. Is it possible to buy some corals and live rock a day before I headed back home and put in a box styrafoam with a little water ?...... Wee will be driving for a day and a half ..... ... then, could you put any rock and live coral in the back of the car and drive home ....... thanks !!!!..... also, any advice on how to package items if you are able to drive ???....... home if UPS can do it, why why cannot we ??....

Live rock should do well but personally, I would not again corals at the same time that a significant amount of rock alive.
