When I buy my train tickets for my trip to Europe?

I traveled to England and France for 2 weeks to visit with friends. English My friend told me that my best option was to buy my train tickets (from London in exchange for Sheffield and London Paris via Chunnel) somewhere around 2 weeks before my departure. Is this the best way to do this? Any tips on cheap travel would be appreciated!

Trains from London (St Pancras Station) in Sheffield run per hour and take 2 hours and 20 minutes, the cheapest tickets are purchase in advance you can do so through the website www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk or train from St Pancras station, buy 2 weeks in advance should be fine. From London to Paris trains operated by Eurostar from St. Pancras International, are frequent and take 2 hours and 15 minutes. The more advance book the cheapest. www. eurostar.com. Europe Train tickets can also be purchased at the store in Piccadilly Rail Europe, near Piccadilly Circus. You can also consider a BritRail Pass if you make several trips to rail in Great Britain www.britrail.com
