Valencia, Spain is the place to be!?
Hi, I'm a big research project in Valencia! I've never been there, but I wondered if anyone had specific suggestions or recommendations. I have to convince my audience that is just visit and have essentially to develop a guide travel ... I did research and read all the websites, I just need someone who knows the real attraction at first hand. Thank you! Favorite restaurants, tourist sites, the hotels are useful. Moreover, as most people move? Train bus or taxi? Sooo much!
Valencia is a beautiful city coast with lots of sandy beaches, beautiful waters of the Mediterranean, the great history, great science center, friendly people and mild climate. It's not as crowded Like many places along the Med, and reaches appears intact, while the amenities of a small town. There was a large investment in Valencia in the last 10 years, becoming more accessible to tourists. The port of Valencia has been modernized in preparation for the international regatta for the America's Cup, held in 2007, and future competitions are planned for the region. This meant that the teams in the America's Cup - Italy, China, Africa, South Africa, Spain, USA, Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany and France - the headquarters of each port and the construction of large computers located on the site. Relax in the port with a coffee or Cana, looking at the sun in the water and you think you are in paradise. There is a wide strip of restaurants on one side of the port is also a walk during most of the beach. Although popular in summer, rarely crowded. A very international crowd attending the region, while the restaurants are a little more open to serve meals to the two traditional Spanish (for example, more than 2-4pm, 10-1). The city is more or less centered in the port, which means you can take the street diagonally from there to find Many bars, restaurants, hotels, and even some dance clubs. The restaurants are not usually "make", but rather local and family. Some have been bought by corporate investors during the Cup races, but still maintain the local charm. Walking is easy in the city, although taxis are readily available. The service Railway is the main cities of Spain, as AVE train from Madrid. There is a large greenway that runs through the center-west of the city, ideal for walking, cycling and watching people. Make sure you find the giant man is used as a playground, so big that you can not even say what is enough unless you get to without seeing it first from a distance. Also, do not miss the Science Center - very modern, beautiful architecture. In my experience, people are less likely to Valencia talk English than other major European cities, but it is easy to move, even if you're Spanish. It is a wonderful place, well worth a visit!

A Travel Guide to Heaven $9.95 Forget angels playing harps. In this fascinating, comforting book, DeStefano takes the reader on a tour of heaven, painting it as a dynamic place of unlimited joy, and using Scripture and dramatic imagination to fill in details about the afterlife. “God doesn’t throw away the good things he creates, he writes, an idea which is the basis of many of his speculations about heaven. Heaven is a tangible place, believes DeStefano, and at least part of it will be a transformed new earth. People will have their own recognizable bodies, only perfected. DeStefano tackles tough questions about heaven, including the role of angels, the measurement of time, marriages and whether pets will be there (“Of course!). Fears of boredom are dispelled with his depictions of possible activities (“How about a tour of the Andromeda galaxy?) and creative work (“Books will be written and read, public structures will be built and utilized). However, he writes that nothing will compare with the thrill of meeting God, the source of true happiness. DeStefano persuasively argues that the idea of heaven is a positive force on earth, since “faith in God and heaven makes you more interested in what you do in this life—not less. He is neither an academic nor a professional theologian, which gives the book its delightfully conversational tone and frees him to conjecture without restraint. Many readers will find DeStefano’s solid Christian framework reassuring and his exciting picture of heaven compelling. “Here is an airy, whimsical tour of the great beyond with some very serious points of interest along the way. What a trip! I just hope I can find my boarding pass when my row is called!-- Raymond Arroyo News Director, Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) "Anthony DeStefano is not only amazingly lighthearted and engaging when he writes about heaven, but he is also paradoxically thought-provoking and even profound. Heaven is completely different from anything we can think of, and yet the Bible, Church Tradition and common sense tell us to remember where we are headed. Anyone who has the wisdom to meditate on eternal life will find this book a Godsend. A Travel Guide to Heaven is prayer-provoking as well as thought-provoking." -- Fr. Benedict J. Groeschel, CFR “Cardinal Ratzinger has said that the greatest gap in post-conciliar theology is that of eschatology, that is, the branch of theology that deals with the afterlife. In point of fact, when was the last time you heard a homily about “the four last things—death, judgment, heaven, hell. Anthony DeStefano has begun the conversation on such matters by writing a book on heaven for “the person in the pew. Combining orthodox theology with speculation and good humor, the author dares us to think about our true home and does so in such a way that the reader should want to make the trip.-- Rev. Peter M. J. Stravinskas, Ph.D., S.T.D., Editor, The Catholic Answer See also: A T |
